Omar Kassab

Omar Kassab joined the ETH Sustainability team in December 2012. He is responsible for supporting and implementing various internal and external projects related to the central activities of the team.

Based on his academic and professional experiences in the Middle East and South Asia, he believes that sustainability is of global relevance, and thus requires the international cooperation of science, politics, economics, and society. His complementary position at the Competence Center Environment and Sustainability (CCES) of the ETH Domain allows him to engage in such a comprehensive approach.

Omar holds a Bachelor degree in Political Science from TU Darmstadt and a Double-Master degree in Comparative and International Studies (MACIS) from ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich. He is an alumnus of the German National Academic Foundation and of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung.
