Reto Ringger is the founder of the Globalance Bank –
the Bank for clients "who want to move more than just money?. He is a "Pioneer
in Sustainability? of its own type: as one of the first people in the world,
Reto Ringger maintained that the financial sector should take over its
responsibility for a sustainable development of our society. Already in 1995,
he founded the SAM Group, the first asset manager focused exclusively on
sustainability investing in the world. Reto Ringger won several awards for his
entrepreneurial success, among others, the Dow Jones Sustainability Index or
the Private Equity Cleantech Fonds.

Only
few people have shaped the global discussion on sustainable development as much
as Mathis Wackernagel, co-founder and President of the "Global Footprint
Network". During last year's Rio+20-Conference he was awarded the prestigious
environmental "Blue Planet Prize" for his longstanding engagement. As ETH
alumnus, Mathis Wackernagel spoke about milestones in his career, his
engagement in science, economy and politics, and about the challenges faced
along the way to becoming one of the most successful "Pioneers in
Sustainability" of our times.
